
GLO implements a unique and successful strategic planning process to ensure
effective community outreach for each project.

Recruitment
Our process begins by assembling a team of local youth in the project area. We conduct thorough research to gain insights into the area’s schools, clubs, programs, and popular student hangouts.
By building relationships with these organizations, speaking in classrooms, and hosting tables at various events, we identify interested students. We prioritize engaging underrepresented youth to form affinity groups, ensuring that our team of youth ambassadors reflects the diversity of the entire community.
Interview Process
We ask potential ambassadors to complete an application and participate in an interview process. This helps us understand their interests and determine their suitability for the team. Additionally, we believe this process provides valuable experience for students, allowing them to practice interviewing and develop their communication skills.





Team Development
Each team is carefully crafted to meet the specific needs of the project. Teams can vary in size, with some consisting of five ambassadors and others consisting of up to 15. Once a team has been assembled through the interview and onboarding process, the development phase begins.
During this phase, team members select a name and create their own logo, adding a personal touch to their identity.
Ambassadors will participate in various team bonding activities. We want the team to get to know each other, form friendships and have fun!
Outreach Plan and Branding
As emphasized above, every project is unique. Therefore, the ambassadors engage in an extensive planning process to guarantee success. This process includes:
- Stakeholder Analysis Process:
- Conduct research on the demographics of the project area
- Create a comprehensive list of stakeholders
- Categorize stakeholders based on the level of outreach they will receive
- Develop tailored strategies to effectively engage with stakeholder groups
- Messaging and Branding
- Work closely with the client to define the narrative we aim to communicate to the public
- Create project material templates that utilize colors the bring that narrative to life
- Social Media Strategy
- Develop post templates that utilize the brand colors and messaging
- Determine which social media platforms will be most effective in communicating our message
- Creating unique and fun content that highlights GLO in collaboration with the client
- Collaborating with organizations that will increase engagement
- Events and Scheduling as defined in our contract
- Research and establish relationships with local organizations.
- Collaborate with these organizations to set up tables at events.
- Organize door-to-door outreach efforts
- Data Analysis
- After each event, our team reviews the community feedback and assesses which methods need adjustment to better reach underrepresented groups and enhance the visibility of our efforts and prepares a report for the client to review. If adjustments are made to the process the client and GLO team will agree to the changes together.






Community Outreach
After the strategic planning process is complete, the youth ambassadors go into the community to get feedback. We engage with a wide range of people, learn about their needs, form relationships, and enjoy their company and the information they provide.
